My name is Hillary Wright and I am a registered and licensed dietitian with over three decades of experience counseling clients of all ages on diet and lifestyle change

I am a registered and licensed dietitian with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Master’s degree in Health Education from Boston University. I completed my dietetic internship at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA. In addition, I have taken graduate level courses in consumer writing from the Tufts University School of Nutrition Communication.

I am currently the Director of Nutrition Counseling for the Wellness Center at Boston IVF  in Waltham, MA, where I specialize in nutrition and women’s health, and diabetes prevention, and also hold a part-time position as a Senior Nutritionist at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA, providing nutrition care for patients undergoing treatment, as well as cancer survivors. I previously worked for over a decade as a nutrition educator for Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates Kenmore Practice in Boston, MA, educating patients of all ages in managing their weight, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and numerous other chronic conditions.

I am a published author

I have authored two books, The PCOS Diet Plan: A Natural Approach to Health for Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (2010, revised 2017), and The Prediabetes Diet Plan: How to Reverse Prediabetes and Prevent Diabetes through Healthy Eating and Exercise (2013), and am a respected authority in these important areas involving disease prevention.  I have also co-authored The Menopause Diet Plan: A Natural Guide to Managing Hormones, Health and Happiness with my friend and colleague Elizabeth Ward, MD, RDN.

My nutrition consulting practice, New Vision Nutrition, includes freelance writing, website writing and editing, recipe development and analysis, public speaking, seminar development and presentation, consultation with food companies, pharmaceutical and technology companies, and media/spokesperson work.

I have had many media appearances on television, including Channels 4, 5, 7 and 56, and Fox25 in Boston, and numerous cable stations including CNN and FOX News. I also have extensive experience with radio and print media, having written for or been quoted by numerous outlets including The Huffington Post Health Blog, sheknows.com, Sirius XM radio/New York, PCOS Challenge Blog Talk Radio, Dresser After Dark radio, WHYN Radio (Springfield, MA), the International Council on Infertility Information Dissemination, Inc (INCIID) newsletter, Energy Magazine, WRKO/Boston, Women’s Health/UK Magazine, Family Circle magazine, CURE Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, The Patriot Ledger, The Worcester Telegram & Gazette, The Middlesex News and numerous community newspapers.

Public Relations / Speaking

I was involved in public relations for the Massachusetts Dietetic Association from 1991 – 1998, serving as Public Relations Chairperson (1992 -1993), Boston area State Media Representative (1993 – 1996) and Public Relations Director (1996 -1998).  I have also been the recipient of the American Dietetic Association’s “Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year” award (1994).

I have presented seminars on a wide array of topics, including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), women’s health and fertility, diabetes prevention, nutrition therapy during and after cancer treatment, and cancer prevention at state dietetic associations and national meetings, including state and national meetings of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE),  the 2014 national PCOS Challenge Symposium, and in both 2019 and 2022 at the national meeting of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Food and Nutrition COnference and Exhibition (FNCE) meeting.

Freelance Writing

I have been a contributing editor and writer for the newsletter Environmental Nutrition, the Tufts Health and Nutrition Letter, and numerous websites and blogs. I am also a consultant and founding team member for the nutrition logging and education platform Good Measures, LLC, and written content for the teen health and nutrition website  bodimojo.com. I have held adjunct faculty positions at Northeastern University and Bunker Hill Community College in Boston, and Framingham State College in Framingham, MA, and have been a nutrition instructor for medical students in their clinical rotation through Tufts University School of Medicine.
